You would be lucky to make that much in a couple of months. Its time to tell your dad. I would tell him before Xmas morning so that it does not ruin the day. He will forgive you. What you might do is agree to forgo an allowance for 40 weeks. |

There's nothing really you can do. Sorry. You could always look around and try to get a knock-off or something. Try looking for it again and if all else fails just be honest and tell your dad you lost it. |

I side with the people who are telling you that honesty is the best policy. The reality is that you lost it. You didn't pawn it or sell it for drug money. Part of growing up and being mature is working for your own money but another part is taking responsibility. I think your Dad would be more upset with you for lying than for owning up to the situation. You lost it... period. As for making money there are ways but unfortunately you'll really have to hustle because I don't know if you've looked at a calendar lately but Christmas is THIS week. Offer your services to help people cook and clean, wrap gifts, and other chores that they need to do. You probably won't make $400 in a few days but you'll make something. |
