I have already starting investing (I bought microsoft at $22.75 and it went up to $37.50 but I didn't sell because I thought it would buy yahoo.) I am currently attending a private school and my dad thinks I should just focus on school and being a kid. The only problem is, I just really want money. I am a child of 6 and 2 of my siblings are also curious on how to make money. Both of them are my brothers and one is 15 and the other is 11. I thought of a lot of ideas but they might be sort of hard to start including the financial assets they would require. What about yard work, dog walking and care,window washing,car washing and vacuuming,
Sounds like you may need a reality check if you think money is soooo important. You are a kid, be one. You will never have this chance again.
You should be reading books, Kidnapped, Gulliver's Travels, Swiss Family Robinson for a start, read about adventure and become the best student. Are you saving for College?
I hope so, but use some money for fun.
10 percent to your church, 50% to savings for college and the rest for your expenses.
Do you know that it is very helpful in this life to be poor at least once. You learn the value of money.
Take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves. don't waste your money on fast food and soda which is bad for you anyway, don't buy bottled water if you can help it...make rules like these and save for your goal, but like I said you'll never be a kid again. Good luck! |

Dogsitting for your neighbors who are going on summer vacation. Offer to walk and feed their dogs during the day. Most people would rather have their dogs home then boarded, and even if you charge $10/day, it is much cheaper than boarding. Make a flyer and post it around your neighborhood. |

I don't think you're too young to sell stuff on ebay....but find out. People buy EVERYTHING on ebay. If you ARE too young, maybe your parents will help you open an ebay account and a PayPal account to receive the funds.
Mowing lawns, babysitting, dog walking, ---- there's a lot of things you can advertise for in the neighborhood by putting up flyers.....just tell your folks that "part of education is cultivating your interests" and they shouldn't ignore it. just make sure school work comes first and then you take on learning how to be a business man! it's actually a better skill to have than reading Tom Sawyer to be honest, but .... that's another story. |

You're just a kid. Why are you investing in stocks already?? You aren't a kid forever, so enjoy it while you can! What do you need money for? Just to have it? Don't be greedy, and you don't need invest in stocks or come up with moneymaking schemes to get money that you don't actually need, because if you carry this habit later into life it could turn you into a really greedy person. If you want some extra cash, I would suggest babysitting instead of stocks. |
