Where you unemployed previously - ask your jobcentre for help |

If you have the job lined and have an offer of employment in writing go to the social security office and they may well fund the cost of you travelling to work until you get paid |

Suggesting credit companies would be irresponsible of me; no one of your age should be encouraged to take loans and if you've no job, I doubt you have a bank account. If you are genuine about looking for employment, pop down your local job centre. You may be entitled to JSA (job seekers allowance). This is payable to 18+ year olds and some 16 & 17 year olds to help support themselves whilst looking for a job. The rate for 18+ year olds is £45.50 per week and this way you wont end up in debt!! Type in Jobseekers Allowance on google search. Hope it helps.Mandy |

You can try a cash advance place, but be careful they're like loan sharks with suits.
SOme banks also offer payday advances. |

500 for travel expenses? that's $$ I suppose. That's $6,000 per year? You better get yourself a job near your home. |

why dont you try asking your parents first...there are a million companies that will lend you that amount such as paydayok.com but i wouldnt borrow from them if i were you...with todays economy there are alot of loan companies throwing excessive charges and finance rates onto those loans...basically you borrown 500 and end up paying way more...not to mention late fees...your young take my advice pls and dont mess up your credit early in the game... |

If you have a job already lined up and just need money to cover expenses until your first pay check go speak to someone either at the CAB or the jobcentre plus, the job centre may be able to lend you the money for expenses until your first pay cheque where they will take a small amount until its paid back, i think its called a budgeting loan. The citezeins advice beaurue will also be able to put you on the track of the same thing. If you haven't got a job then apply for job seekers allowance, its not a great deal but it will be enough for a few weeks, plus the people there will be able to help you out with any applications and stuff. No one will lend you money if your not earning money unless there ilegitamite companies like payday loans. Your bank might give you an overdraft if you go in person and explain your situation but they won't give you anything over about £250. Plus though overdrafts are handy once you get into the spiral of an overdraft you will be living with it for many many years, they are the cheapest form of credit but the hardest to get out of. |

Not a good start. Have considered moving closer to your job - even temporarily - and see how things go |

Go to your bank, explain your situation, get a £500 overdraft. Its not a loan, you can pay it off when ever you want.
I have one for £1000, had it for 2 years and havent even started payin it off!! |

Do not do cash advance. Go to your local bank, and shop around for quotes. Do not give your social or let them run a credit report at every single one. Go pull your credit for free online from all three credit bureaus. Take your credit score and debt to the bank and ask them how much can they loan you based off of this information. Some may ask for collateral. Do not confuse loan companies and Legitimate banking institutions. Do not use a credit card because the interest rates will be higher. |

Whenever I've needed some emergency cash, I've used CashNetUSA.com Keep in mind, that you'll need to pay it back doubly though. |
