You may have seem several advertisement on "taking a loan with the assistant with your CPF". In fact, this is mostly for single 35 years and above, and couple haven't apply for a HDB flat. The so call "loan" is actually using your CPF to buy a resale flat, and the agent will give you cash upfront.

There are also other package such as CPF investment and etc... be more careful when contacting them.

You may write to me for more informations.

Are you a student? Can you qualify for financial aide? If you go back to college, there is a loan from FASFA that you can take out. The only catch is that you have to maintain a 12 unit full time schedule. You can go to work in the daytime and still take your 12 units. You don't have to repay your loan until after you graduate college.

You can try to get one on your own but you have no credit history. You may have to get a co-signer.
Good Luck!

Do you have any credit established yet? You will need to have to be approved for a loan. Do you have any collateral, such as a car that you 100% own? You'll need that as well.

Is it really necessary to borrow $2-3K?
Doesn't sound like it from your question.
The only reason I ask, is I hate to see a real young person start borrowing and in a few years finding they have a debt problem with nothing to show for it.

Unless you are buying a house, or possibly a new car, you should not be buying anything that you don't have the money sitting in the bank to cover.

First of all, the loan officer will look at your credit history. If it's good, then they will determine how much to loan you and how much collateral do you have along with what your assets are worth. Look for a well known company in your area. Good luck with the loan.
