I am a single mom not financially stable to support my child how can i get a loan to support my child?

If you're not making enough to support your child and pay your current bills, how would you repay the loan?

I'm sure that's why you're being turned down for loans. If you can't pay your current bills, a lender can't give you more money that you won't be able to repay.

You might want to check into Social Services and see if there is anything you are eligible for, e.g., food stamps, aid to dependent children.

go after the dad for child support.or apply for welfare and get training or education for a better paying job.borrowing money is not the answer, that is money you have to pay back.being a single parent is tough but you can do it .good luck.

mickeymouse_96
try WIC, women infants and children, they give you "food stamps" if you make less then a certain amount, also depending on what state you are in, there are programs that give free insurance to you and your child

The Rabbi
Go to church and tell whoever can help your story and see what develops.

Franco
If you cannot support your child now, you will be much less able to do so if you have to pay interest on a loan as well. What you must do is to try and get some state support eg rent allowance etc, not loans. Note that the father of the child is obliged by law to pay support.

Unfortunately you did not mention the country you live in, because a lot depends on that..

Wic, Medicare, and foodstamps. I hate to say it but when you are in a bad spot there is no shame asking for help.

If you know who the father of the child is and would like to pursue child support you need to contact the Attorney General's office. They will have him take a DNA test to prove paternity, and then go from there.

If you choose not to do that, depending on your child's age there are several different options available to provide assistance. You need to go to your local Human Services Office and fill out the application for Medicaid/TANF/Food Stamps. You will have to bring with you proof of employment, your ID, SS, Birth Certificate, as well as the same for your child. They will tell you if you qualify for medicaid-medical assistance, as well as food stamps. If your child is under 5 years old you may qualify for WIC( Women Infants and Children) and they will provide you with vouchers for food, and if your child is an infant either formula, or extra food for you if you breastfeed. To see if you qualify for WIC you will have to call your local office and make an appointment with them.

If you need help with rent contact your local housing authority and they will be able to put you on the waitlist for section 8 housing.
There are other agencies available in your community depending on where you live that can help with various needs you may have. I know what's available if you happen to be in the Dallas area.

I would look to public assistance. There are wonderful programs to help a single parent with child expenses. Good luck.

How will you pay off the loan?

If you can't pay your bills now, how will you pay the bills and the loan when the loan money runs out? Why do you think someone would want to loan you money when the chances of getting paid back are virtually nil?

I think it is great that you are trying to provide for your family by working. Unfortunately, many federal programs are for those individuals whom do not work. Try you local county office and see if there are any types of programs that supplement your income. There are also many programs suck as WIC which can help with food for your child under 5 years of age. There are also programs that offer free or reduced baby sitting services for those who qualify. Don't feel bad using these services. They are there to help people. You are obviously not one of those people who are looking to live off the system. The ugly truth is that often times, those people live a lot better than folks who would rather work for a living. Good luck, and I hope and wish the best for you and your child.

Well, if your not able to support your child its chopped as far as you going to a ank getting a lone. The only laon you would probably be eligible to apply for is a government grant, something you never have to pay back. But, those arent easy to get and I dont know how you would actually go about doing it. Are you recieving any type of government assistance, or food satmps, or wic, if not I would try to do that first. It's local. It's not your child's faul. Im a mother myself of two girls. And I for one know its not easy. But, I bust my *** everyday to make sure my girls have what they need, cause thats what a parent has to do. Sacrifice... you find yourself doing alot of that with kids. Trust and believe there are no handouts. The best of luck to you, and be strong your child needs you.
