I am gatting mails that i have won huge money on lottery. What should i do?
They ask me to provide my adderess for sending draft. But they ask to pay for courier charges a sum of Rs 35000. What should i do.
Is there anybody who has been benefited by this type of lotteries?

GLH (male 48 UK)
It's a scam.

They want two things from you -
1. Your ID details so they can impersonate you; and/or
2. Your money

Basically they will either ask for your details (including bank account details) so they can transfer the money to you - and of course what they will actually do is steal money out of your account

AND/OR

They will ask you to send them money for such things as "registration fees" or "money transfer fees" etc etc.

Remember:-

NO-ONE EVER WON A LOTTERY THEY DIDN'T ENTER!

There is no money. You haven't won anything!

WHAT TO DO:-
1. The simplest of all - DELETE it. Never reply, even to say "ha ha I know you're trying to scam me" This just confirms that you have a functioning email address and the scammer will then try to sell it on to someone else - and what you will get is more scammer emails!

2. If the email comes from an email provider that you recognise and trust, like Yahoo, Hotmail, Netscape etc then forward the message headers to the email provider with a note of the complaint. [The message source maybe faked but often a contact email address is quoted in the message the scammer actually writes to you.]
To do this on Outlook Express:-
Right click the message and select Properties
Click on the Details tab
Click on Message Source
Right click the mass of code you see and click Select All to highlight the entire message
Right click again and click Copy
Paste into your message to Yahoo, Hotmail or whoever

The address to email this to is "abuse@(the email provider) eg. abuse@yahoo.com

It is a scam. Delete the email and forget about it. My email
software sends those kinds of emails to the bulk folder. I
delete my bulk folder without even looking what is in it.

WE all know this is just a scam and no one gives us any money..One of my colleague used to get like these mails, he used to reply them stating his address(not correct one).and asks those ppl to send a cheque on his name!!
This is just for fun dude

hotchocredrose
This is all bogues& fake, don't trust it at all

jaishri
If you receive one of these scam emails, it is important that you do not respond to it in any way. The scammers are likely to act upon any response from those they see as potential victims. The people who run these scams are criminals and could even resort to violence and intimidation to meet their aims.

You should delete the email without replying. Alternatively, you can forward the email to the address for further investigations scams@fraudwatchinternational.com.

There are loads of scams like these going around so you need to watch out. The only genuine email I had was for the elottery which I carefully researched before signing up. I would recommend you take a look at the website www.morelotto.co.uk

Its all scam...dont send your money just delete that mail how many ever times you get it!!

smart don
just ignore that can be done of that..just mark that mail as spam when it comes

invincible_808
Never fall in for it . I keep receiving them and they are all bogus. How u can you win a lottery in which you did not even participate? Their objective is to take out Rs.35000/- from you rather than pay you the prize money. These kind of mails are sent mainly from the African continent.

Raghu
Do not give them any money. 35000 is a big sum and you will end up parting with this money. This a big fraud that is going on and these people make money out of these mails. It is a big racket that is going on and many people fall into this trap
