If you have problems finding your local benefits office, it comes as no surprise that you can't find a job! |

You need to go to your local job center, where you will be given a number to call, you can use their phones, they will then arrange an interview with you over the phone.
It's really easy now. After a couple of weeks your claim should be sorted.
Good luck with finding a job. |

Well for a start you could go to the job centre plus website-
www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk - that will give you all the information on claiming benefits you need to know. You can ring them also Telephone 0845 6060234
- its one number for all first claims and they will do it over the phone in the first instance. |

Go to your local jobcentre or phone them and ask for the number to call to claim jobseekers allowance. Also ask for the number to phone to claim a crisis loan for up and till you get your first jobseekers allowance payment. |

what state do you live in, check out your state's unemployment website. Most states allow you to sign up online.
If you have not worked in the past you will not receive any unemployment insurance. |

How on earth have you survived without benefits for a year?
Sign on! You - or we - have paid our taxes for exactly this time!
You are ENTITLED to benefits when unemployed. |

Don't know where you live so i can't give you directions, but you should go to your local job centre. You can also ask at a library or punch in the name of your home town and DSS in a local search engine. If you are not working you are entitled to benefit, but it will probably be called income support as you haven't worked in more than a year. they will also pay your rent. |

If you've been unemployed for over a year you won't have any wages during the base period. So, there will be nothing for you to draw. You will have to get a job or find other assistance. Good luck. |

Try a Yahoo search for "Pennsylvania unemployment compensation." Use whatever state you are in. Or try "Pennsylvania Dept of Labor Unemployment." |
