Work at the type of work that pays you the most even if it isn't your favorite. Talk to your boss asking what you can do to improve your value to the current company. If nothing prepare to change companies. If you are close to getting a pension so can't afford to quit work a second job.
Decide if you will be working enough more years to be worth learning a new trade entirely. Maybe learning more to enhance your value at what you do now.
Look at your skills for after retirement too, start developing skills that you can continue to use part time.
My brother just retired at 58 but has a home based business doing embroidery and printing on fabric. He and his wife have had so much business it was hard to keep up so now he has a paying retirement hobby and has taken classes to become a casino dealer. So with his pensions, his business and a part time job they can live on his wife's pay until she is old enough for her pension. They enjoy the business and he likes casinos so he may work part time for another decade or more. |

All of us are feeling the "pinch" right now. Everything seems to be going up in price so there are many who are looking for side jobs to supplement their income. First of all, establish how much you need to make extra each month. Then pray to God and let Him know your need. Do not fall for "get rich quick" schemes as they always lead you down the wrong road. Once you've established a figure, start tithing and commit to tithing. That's right - give God 10% of your income and ask Him to help you. Miracles will happen - I've been there. Also ,draw close to God and He will draw close to you.
Listen to God's advice and see if He doesn't provide.
That's my two cents ;). I've been tithing for years and have always been amazing blessed. God Bless You. |
