I know that coming into a large sum of money tends to burn a hole in your pocket, but consider buying a moderate home here in the US, get yourself a good education, and moderately luxurious car like a Honda with options, and investing the rest. If you invest a large sum of money like 3 million correctly earning 7-10% interest, you could comfortably live off the interest at 40-50k a year for the rest of you life and never run out of money.

Announcing it to the world is going to have you have people act like vultures and make poor decisions. I would invest your money wisely. It's not about buying the most expensive car that you can or the home. You would be better off asking for legal advice than Yahoo advice. You may want to learn more about home ownership abroad with all of the legalities. You may want to see which country would be best suited for you. (You will possibly need to learn a new language) We lived in England and loved it, but the cost of living was high (At that time the exchange rate was double the US, but not sure what it is at the present time) We also lived in Germany. Enjoyed the more spacious homes there with marble floors compared to England, but loved England more because of the quaintness and we loved antiques, but the homes are small for the money. Each room is taxed which is why they would have wardrobes instead of closets. We lived in Italy too, but didn't care for it as much. In Scilly we saw many a home not finished on the outside to avoid paying the taxes as per sae, they weren't completed. Your money won't go far if you don't invest well or be stuck with something you don't want. So do some soul searching and get some legal advice before you jump in with both feet.

Spain is the best value for money.
Buy a Bentley if you want to drive yourself, else buy a Rolls-Royce if you want to be driven by others.

i live in sicily right now and i love it!,im in the navy and i have been all over the world and i would have to say without a doubt that if i came into a lot of money i would do like that other person said and research the legalities of it and what not and if i could i would buy a home here in sicily.the people are great, the climate is wonderful,i love the food, the history, lifestyle. the economy isnt great and the dollar is not so strong against the euro, but if you have enough money to buy a house and a higher end car, well then i dont think that should be a problem as long as your smart about everything you do.if you have any questions feel free to contact me!

Come to Italy and buy a villa - if you really have lots of $$$ to spend - in Tuscany, or anywere else in Italy: nice people, great food and usually a good climate...

Buy a house at the sea side in Cyprus and a BMW convertible. (And if you want a boyfriend, I am looking for a girl like that)

better check with your accountant first to see how much money will be left after taxes. I'd buy a house on Lake Como in Italy and drive a Lexus

in my opinion you should save your money or you can invest the money again, you can buy a franchise business so in the future if everything turn bad you have something to hold.

Investing in Indonesia is one of the option,i suggest you buy franchise business here,so you can get AU$ 20,000-25000 every year without working,i will show you the business if you're really interested. The business is a minimarket business owned by indonesian tycoon,so it is a save business because they have been involving in this business for almost 20years.

that's all i guess

We have been seeking a private lender for a loan of $10,000.00. Have not so good credit so can't get a conventional loan, but have more than the ability to repay. Have proof of this to offer. If interested let me know. You could be making even more money in interest that is collected on the loan.

I have no idea, I would just encourage not to become a complete consumer and waste this money. Beware that most lottery winners end up with ruined lives due to the sudden riches. Be careful, give to others, help the world out some, and don't go into total consumer mode.

You could have a look in Which?Car magazine. I don't know about the house. Personally, I would stick the whole lot in a savings account and watch it grow.

The Bentley is a great car. It is big roomy, has lots of space inside and has the engine power to boot. Now is you want fast then get the Lamborghini. This car goes over 175 miles per hour. Good luck in what you choose to go with. I would seek financial advice from and investor and get myself a great accountant because to hold onto that money you have to manage it well.
If you are feeling generous then I a needy case. I fought in Iraq in 2004 and got injured and am not able to work anymore and am waiting still for the Veterans Administration to decide my disability compensation. It could take another 6 months or 6 years it depends on when they want to make the decision. It is hard to live when you only have one income being my wife's coming in. She has been working 2 jobs for the past year and a half and the stress finally caught up with her. She ended up going into emergency surgery Wednesday f or 4 hours. She came out o.k and should make a full recovery. The only problem is she will be out of work for the next few weeks which will put even more stress on our family with 3 kids also. Good Luck in you decision to choose what to do with your new found wealth. It is a great thing to happen especially when you did not expect it. Send me a message at msrtampa04@yahoo.com and let me now what car you decide to go with.
