It's tough for a young person to get an administrative job. Keep checking monster and hotjobs on the internet. Try looking at places like Starbucks, Target, and other places at a mall thats close by. Also, check online for cell phone companies in your area, just pull up their websites and click on the careers section - often times many of them are looking for help in their stores. I have a 19 year old stepdaughter who works for Sprint and she makes great money, I also have a 22 year old son who works for Starbucks, he's been there 3 years and loves it and makes pretty good money too.
Good luck in your job hunt! I hope you get some great ideas here, and find something soon. |

Try using the jobcentreplus.gov.uk website or reed.co.uk they are pretty good. Hand out your CV to places as well, or maybe advertise in shop windows. There are loads of ways to find work, just don't give up trying. |

I have the same problem, but I'm 40. Jobs don't discriminate against age. There's nothing out there. I have 18 years experience in data entry and office experience. You just have to keep looking. I know I am. Gotta pay those bills, even though I'd rather win the lottery. |

Contact a temp agency in your area. They can get you in a job usually within the week. |

Do some research- Find a legitimate temp agency, post your resume online, go to your state workforce department or ask your friends and family. |

there are a gazillion jobs out there. they may not be the job you want, but take any job if you are desperate for money. you can always continue looking for another job. no body wants to work at mcdonalds, but it does pay the rent |

Why not get a job at a convience store like a Walmart or Target or a fast food place just to have some money in your pocket. Then go on careerbuilder.com and build a resume.
I got plenty of jobs there. Hope that helps! |

Consider fast food for a fast job and then keep your eyes and ears open for new opportunities. Consider a temp agency that can help to place you and increase your experience. Consider your own business either providing goods or services. Whatever you do... give it 100%. You should concentrate on investing 40 hours a week into finding a 40 hour a week job. Knock on doors, make phone calls, talk to people, register with agencies, mail resumes, etc. Visit restaurants, stores, offices, gas stations, etc. Ask for a job. Ask for a referral. You can and will get a job but the measurement is how many you apply for because there will be one "yes" in a sea of "nos" |

Try the Air Force or the Navy. The military are always looking for people. Most of the time there are sign on bonuses and you can better your education, but you have to qualify to join. |

Are you looking for an office type job? thats what it seems like with your experience. If your desperate, then maybe you should look for any job even if its minimum wage. Start writing a resume and start filling out some applications and get out there. In time you will get a call for a interview. Fast food is always hiring, but im not sure you want to do that. Just keep your head up. Good Luck Job Hunting |

Try out for a secretary position,
clerk,
hotel assistant (front desk assistant either/or?),
administrative assistant,
any place where they want an office assistant or something would suit you perfectly!
good luck,
and don't worry, I'm sure you'll find a job sooner or later.
