blood bank sounds good to me... can sell your plasma while you're at it (heard you could make about 300 bucks a month selling plasma).
I don't think a pawn shop would pay much for your computer. You could always try doing some of those online surveys that give a couple bucks a pop... but I don't know how long it takes for them to get you your money. |

If you are desperate, I would donate plasma, pawn some items or get a temp job that pays daily.
As for pawn shops, almost anything as long as it is in good condition. Pawn shops aren't eager for jewelry unless it is different or unique. They don't tend to pay top dollar for it. Other things like guitars or other musical items, computers (don't know about one that is 8 years old), old cameras (vintage), LP's (records), baseball cards, old coin collections, etc.
You could also offer your services as a handyman (painting, cleaning out gutters, hauling trash, etc.). You could also mow lawns or rake leaves (neighborhood boys here get about $10 - $20 per yard and can clean about 8 yards a day).
You're only limited by your own imagination.

Well I don't believe you can get any more for donating blood. So that's not really going to help you.
Pawning items would work - not sure that you would get much if anything for an 8 year old computer as I can' t see anyone wanting this. I would say jewelry any high tech electronics, etc. would bring you a good amount of cash. |

Go on yahoo! hotjobs, try craigslist or go to the official website of a company you like and that you know they have a hiring section.
