If it was a minting error, yes, it could be worth a whole lot.
But since both sides of the coin are stamped at the same time, that type of error is almost impossible to happen during the stamping process.... so it might of just been filed down and polished. I'd bring it to a few coin collectors and see what they have to say about it. |

Take it into a local coin dealer (a pwn shop may offer you lees than it is worth). Also, Google it by year at mint city (D for Denver, P for Philadelphia, etc) See what comes up. Good luck! :) |

It does if the back was truly not printed. If it is in good condition and the back was not stamped, then a collector could view it as valuable. If the back was simply worn off, then of course it is worth $.01.
Go to a local coin or sports trading card shop they can put you on the path to find out more. |

You need to look it up to see if it was a misprint or if someone just filed it down.
If it's a misprint, it'll be worth more than a penny. |

It sounds to me like it's not a real penny. If the front of the penny is intact, check the date. If the coin was minted before 1982, it's possible someone simply polished the other side off to a smooth surface. Old pennies like that were pure copper. Newer pennies--those minuted after 1982--are mostly zinc, and are merely copper plated.
In any event, if you're really concerned over the penny's value, you can take it to a bank. But ultimately it's just a penny, and even if it is worth something, it's not going to be much. I know of no collector who would pay to have a ruined penny. |

Yes! Look it up or contact a coin dealer. They can tell you how much it is worth. Misprinted coins are very rare. |
