It's a Scam, comes in several forms, but all are essentially the same. Also a good thing to note, is that it is illegal to participate in foreign lotteries. So were this a legitimate thing. You would be breaking the law.
I read somewhere a while back that this was one way of funneling money to terror cells in the US. I don't remember the source, but the law was out prior to the Article anyway. |

Beware!!! It's a big time spam.
I have even got emails asking me to sign on to verify my internet banking account User ID and password as (they claimed) all the banks are using a "single sign on". What a SCAM! Don't believe any of these! |

Definitely a scam. There are lots of a**holes out there doing that. Whatever you do, never EVER give out any personal information such as bank account or credit card information to anybody (the exceptions being when you actually are purchasing something that you want - like on Ebay via PayPal, which is very secure).
If your e-mail has a spam blocker, enable it so that these types of e-mails will go immediately to a junk folder and not taint your inbox. |
