If you are innocent, then you should call Human Resources and tell them what happened. Also get a lawyer. If the money wasn't taken by you, then you should be guaranteed to get your paycheck back.... good luck. |

I would contact an attorney right away. Also go to the courthouse, go to the clerk's office and ask to have a subpoena. Subpoena the video tape so they can't destroy it and then later say they dont' have it. Get a copy ASAP. |

They are not allowed to keep your paycheck for any reason, even if they had footage of you putting the money in your own pocket. It's interesting that they're blaming you when they saw you put it in the safe. If it's a large company, take it up the chain of command. If it's a small company, you're probably out of luck. It's probably not going to be worth the time/effort to pursue it very far. |

do they have physical evidence of you stealing the $300. if not, file a complaint against the company. That is the only way to get your side heard. |

First off,
1. It is against the law for them to withhold your paycheck
2. Get a lawyer
2a. you can sue for wrongful dismissal
2b. and you can sue for withholding your paycheck

You can most likely if you have a union go through them and they will hire a lawyer and pay on your behalf.
then get a settlement cause you will win.
At first they will offer your job back but don't take it cause they are in legal hot water. |

They should also have footage of who ever took it. You could probably call the cops to get your $300. Your innocent until proven guilty, unless they see your face and matches your description then yo might have to go to court. |

wel, it doenst sound like its ur fault, all except you put the money in, but if you didnt take it out, then its not your fault. see if there is footage of someone else even just getting into the safe. if there is then you can defend yourself. |
