Whatever you do DO NOT use one of those machine that you find in places like ASDA as they are a con, I have a friend who fed one of them machines £50 and got the receipt and a few days later went to spend it only to be refused it as payment.
On top of that they had a percentage taken out of the total they put into it.
Go to YOUR bank or just keep spending your loose change in shops as most shops get charged for exchanging notes for coin and coin for notes... |

A Bank - they use a weighing machine to make it quicker. They probably would not thank you for going in at lunch time when they are busy though! |

Just take them into your nearest bank and they will weight he bags and change the money for you. I would advise going in early in the morning when they first open as there shouldn't be too many people around then.
Good Luck |

The post office is the best bet, the banks do have weighing machines but some banks will only accept it at certain times and will not take it on Saturdays.
If you use the machine in Tescos, Sainsburys or Asda the machine charges you 7%, this machine does not give you notes, it gives you a slip of paper and you can either use it in the shop or get it cashed at customer services. |

Banks weigh the money - they type in what denomination it is ie. £1 coins and the machine works out that 10 x £1 coins weigh 'x' amount
That is how they can tell fake coins as the weights are different |

Yes the bank have a weighing machine. If you have, say, six £10 bags of 20p's, they will count the first £10 pound bag to make sure it is correct, then see how much that weighs, then if the others weigh the same as the first bag, they are correct. |

Use a bank but don't go during lunch.
