Hold onto it for when you want to buy a car. good down payment, and in today's economy, you may really need it for later. |

You are way too young to spend $2,400. Put it in a bank, save it for your college funds. |

what do people have to spend every single penny that they've got? nothing's gonna happen to it when you put it in your bank account! trust me, you'll need it later |

LOL j/k I would advise you to save it, but you're 14 years old.
Maybe save for a car?
If not, live it up. Have fun. |

Spend $400 you deserve it.
Take the 2k to the bank and sit down with a loan officer introduce yourself and tell him you want to buy a CD to use as a down payment on a car when you turn 16 and get a job. Not many 14 year olds come into the bank with money so he'll remember you. Shake his hand and you're on your way to good credit that will serve you for the rest of your life.
By the way I'm not suggesting buying a new car when you turn 16, nobody under 60 should ever do that. Just borrow a little bit to buy a more dependable used car and get a credit history going-- no more than you can easily pay back with the income from your first job.
Or, plan B -- Go buy a PS3, X-Box, Wii, a laptop and a few games....
heh I'll let you decide which |

hello - that's great! a nice amount of money to have at your age. you should save it. at 7% yearly interest, you will have over 3K in 5 years, just in time for college. if you can continue to add to that money over the next few years then you will have even more saved. all collecting compund interest. and you are young, so you could take more risk with your money perhaps gettings higher returns etc.
starting to save now will forever benefit you.
good luck. |
