Sam, Vice President of the YAA
I have 700 dollars. What should I do with it?
On one hand: I want a new phone from Nokia.

On the other hand: I want some contacts to replace the glasses, a new outfit, hairstyle - in short, the "extreme" makeover.

Or, I would use it: to buy myself an iPod.

I'm really bad with money management but I certainly do try my best. This time however - I'm spoilt for choice. What do I do?

Ryan
I would suggest being more practical about your money. This is just my opinion. If you have a phone, there's really no reason to get a new one, unless the other one doesn't work. If you glasses and don't really need contacts, then just save your money. And no for Ipod, when i got mine, two months later they came up with Ipod Video with a bigger storage and cheaper price that plays videos. If that's my money, I'll put it in CD(certified deposit) for a year. If you want to spend it then you can take it out, if not you can get another cd for a year or short terms like 6 months.

Put it in a 6 month CD, and take the time to come up with an investment plan for when it matures.

Money tends to burn a whole in my pocket as well and thats what it is doing to you. What i have found works for me is to sit on it for a while until that fire burns down then you can make a better descision. Putting it into savings would be a great idea or to save even more money pay off some credit card debt.

I like Ryan's idea- save it!

There will always be new phones from Nokia, in fact, they will probably come out with another one, even better in the next 6 months..

Unless your glasses are as aweful as mine (my dog thought they'd make a good chew-toy- still got teeth-marks on the lenses), it's not entirely worth it. And a haircut and style us usually no more than $20...

The iPod... Are you sure you want to block out the beautiful sounds of life all around you? Ah, the sweet sound of a baby's laugh- how can you hear that with "Bare Naked Ladies" blasting in your ear? Or the pure tones of a bird- compete with a "Boot-Scoot Boogie" twang?

You should start a ROTH IRA. You should put the money in a low cost index fund. You could do that with $500 and buy a used iPod or an older cell phone.

Y!Arnlady
You sound like my 18 year old grandson. Get a couple of dollars in your pocket and Wow, you're rich. You need to take yourself right down to the nearest charity and ask them how much they could accomplish with one-half of that money, and you as a volunteer.

You could then use the other half for a life-style enhancement of your choice. Just remember this, contact lenses are a more expensive investment than glasses, because they require constant maintenance, and are not completly safe (eye infections, cuts, and eyeball fatigue are just a few of the things to worry about).

tbabz0001
bet on black then take your winnings and get all of the above.
If you lose, you just made a ballsy bet that few would chance = priceless!
a memory for a lifetime!

SK8TERGURL~1~NOT~ 2/davesslave
Go for contacts
ipod can wait and if your going to buff up there is no need for cloths that you may not fit into 6 mos. from now.
and there will always be a newer and better phone out later also.

apo_kalips
hy not send some to me, may be 200 dollars would make a difference in my country.. that is equivalent to 11,000 philippine peso.. hehehe.
with that i could buy a new PC .. seriouslly just save it for a rainy day.... you'll never know when rain comes...

I agree with a couple of the others.. put it away. You may have an emergency some day and you'll need it. Give yourself $100 to spend.. You can get a $10 haircut, and a couple new outfits for that much. You have glasses you don't really need contacts.

Take the rest and invest in a CD... trust me .. coming from a shop-o-holic.. you'll NEED that money someday and you won't have it or have anything to show for it. Save it.

theshadow01
Use $600 to buy a savings bond. In 10 years it will be worth $1200 regardless of the stock market. Use the other $100 for whatever makes you happy.

caulk1756
Put your money in a money market and let it grow. You'll be happier.

Hey there! Running your own online business can be an extremely lucrative venture as well as one that requires very low start up costs. I run my own business from home, and make a little over $500 a week, and I just started a month and a half ago. I am hoping to double that amount by the end of June.

Basically, you are providing top level domain names in the .ws category. It’s exactly like a .com website, only it’s easier to find the domain name you are looking for in the .ws genre. The ws in .ws means website. With this business, you can sell .ws domain names and hosting, or refer others to do it for you. Either way, lots of money can be made by promoting either the website, affiliate program or both.

By signing up, you will receive your own top level domain name of your choosing, hosting, as well as all of the promotional tools and support you need to make your business successful. This website can be used for your own personal/business use by uploading your own files, or to promote the GDI program by using the re-direct feature. There is even a forum with thousands of helpful members just waiting to answer your questions. And of course, you can always email your upline to hear about their success stories and to find motivation.

Check out www.live-wealthy.ws . The site features an online DVD presentation that you can view to see what the company is all about, and what they can do for you, as well as an income calculator so you can see just how much you can make. The earning potential is unlimited! Some members are earning hundreds to thousands of dollars a week with this program!!

www.live-wealthy.ws features a 7 day free trial so you can check the program out for yourself, and see all of the tools and support that are available to you. To become a full member, you only pay $10. This can easily be recouped within the first day that you start if you start working the program from day one.

If you are interested sign up, and should you need any help at all, you can email me personally at ecommsolutions@yahoo.com . I would be happy to help you out any way I can! Good luck on all of your future endeavors!

Well if it were me #1. I'd buy a new VERIZON vwz tones phone, after that get an ipod, after that you should still have some money for Glasses or a new outfit & hairstyle.

Range of Prices:
Phone: depending quality $200
Ipod: if regular one 300 or less $
Other stuff: as much as you want!

So, "what to do with $700?" AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!!

"On the other hand: I want some contacts to replace the glasses, a new outfit, hairstyle - in short, the "extreme" makeover."

that's the one i'd pick.

I think that you should save at least some of your money for a rainy day. Try to put it somewhere where it will grow. The web site below might give you some ideas.

trojanwarhero
I would go with the ipod. How nice your phone is or how stylish your clothes are is simply unimportant when you have some good tunes playing.

well hunny to be honest put the money in the bank, becaue i promise you will regreat useing it to put up
an see what happen in 3 months

xalsk
Put it in the bank and make more money! You don't need to be materialistic like most people. You don't need a new phone if you already have one, you don't need new clothes (I'm sure you have plenty), and you surely don't need an iPod (there is always the radio).

Victoria
give it to me =)

Contacts are over rated. They will end up costing you more in the long run than a pair of glasses. If you already have a fully functional phone there is no bother wasting money on a new one. I would buy the iPod but heck I just listen to the radio. I think you should just really open a savings account with 500 hundred of it and use the other 200 for your own personal happiness.
