I recently just turned 18 and i got roughly £7200 what can i do with this to make me the most ammount of money possible in the quickest ammount of time haha !
( oh and fairly unrisky if possible ) but i would still like to hear the risky options.
So lets have some ideas !!!! :D

Oh and yes im going to uni to do computer games technology but im not spending it on uni... however i would like to go into property some how...any ideas for that? |

Dear Richard,
You are lucky - a young and with a dosh!
If I were you, I won't put it in ISA nor in the unit trust. Assuming that you already have some modern gadgets - a fleshy mobile and ipod, a car or motorbike, game machine etc., I would suggest that you should invest in the stock market. You can open an on-line trading account account and invest in 3 or 4 companies listed on the FT100. In three years to five years time, it could grow to a significant sum, which you would find handy for your university fees, or wedding.
Alternatively, you could buy the premium bonds and forget about it or you may fancy a flutter on spread betting or a trip to a casino. You could be very lucky!
Other alternative is to land it to someone you can trust. If you lend it to me, I'll invest it for you and pay you 8% interest per year for a fixed term of 5 years plus a further 20% terminal bonus.
What ever you do, please don't spend it all or leave it in a bank or building society account. |

you could deposit £3600 into a cash ISA and then the rest into a stocks and shares ISA.
that way the government don't get their hands on any of it!! |

Risky option-
1.Buy a modified Renault Clio with a V8 engine with tinted windows -£6000
2.Buy a shotgun with 30 rounds-£200
3.Buy an AK-74 (modified AK-47) and 100 rounds-£300
4.Bribe some police- £300
5.Hire 3 armed robbers-£400
6.Rob a big bank.
7.Get more ammo
Repeat from number 4.
Safe option-
1.Find a bank with quite high interest
1b.Rent a small cheap flat
2.Put ALL your money in it
3.Don't spend any large amounts money
4.Get a decent job
5. Put all your spare money from the job in the bank
In 3 years of doing this you should have quite some money, then i would recommend renting a better flat and doing this for another 5 years, by 26 you should be able to BUY with cash, no mortgage.

Play the stock-market (on-line). It needs skill and certainly is not without risk. But it`s enough to start you off. You can find a london dealer company - £12 per deal, no matter how much you are dealing with.
You could lose the lot straightaway, but if you are lucky and skilful, within 3 years you could easily have tripled your money. |

The smart money bet is to sort of pretend that it does not exist. It is your backup and if something happens it will be there....... slowly growing. Later when you are doing well at a job you might play with it a bit.
Those who end up with a lot of money do slow growth and protect the principle. Check with the bank. Mutuals, CDs and keep a bit liquid just in case. |
