I cant open a bank account due to some one stealing my identity and my account was closed. I need to cash this tax refund to pay off my checking account that is outstanding so I can open a new act. I live in AZ and I have found the banks will only cash if I open an account any ideas? |

Take the check to the bank where you need to pay off the outstanding balance on the account. They will be more than happy to assist. If not, try a check cashing place. They usually charge a hefty premium. |

You can go to Walmart and cash it as long as you have a valid ID. |

2 possible ideas
1 Go to a Western Union or a place like that and for a small fee they will probably be willing to cash a check.
2 Sign the back of the check and give it to a friend of family member who you trust and who has an acount and ask that they cash it for you

take it to the bank the check is drawn off of or one of their sister companies... they are obligated to cash them for free if the account holder is their customer. if this doesnt work, you are stuck paying the fees at some check cashing place. |

Well, obviously you would know better than me... I would just try to open another account...if you haven't already...
Though, nowadays tax planners like jackson hewitt,,, can give you a debit card thing,, that has your tax return on it...
Or, You can try cashing it at places like Walmart and Some payday loan place... But, to cash checks there is a maximum.. and you might not be able to do this option either... If not,,, ask to talk to a manager... I done this one time,, and they give me a break and cashed it... I didn't have a bank account either at the time...
Other than this.. I don't know... Maybe,, You could endorse the check on the back properly.. to someone you know,, like a family member, and have them take the check to the bank...
I forgot the three ways you can endorse a check...
but, if im not mistaken... You can endorse a check in your name to someone else.. So, that they can deposit into their bank/cash.., but it has to be endorsed a certain way on the back
