Pay it into your account. If you go to one of these cheque cashing places they will charge you |

If it is a cheque payable to you you can take it to your bank and pay it into your account. Is it made out to cash? If so your bank would cash it. If not it's a cash chequeing service which is a pain and will involve a call to the company that wrote the cheque. |

Agreed, pay it into your bank account, should take between 3-5 days to clear depending on what a/c you have. Cheque places charge ALOT..so stay clear!! |

If this is a regular thing, I'd ask about getting paid in a different way, like BAKs which is where the money is just transfered into your account on payday, because even if this is a company cheque, you'll still have to wait a few days for your money. |

if you put it into your account it will clear in about 5 working days this way you will not get charged and you can earn interest on it |

Pay the cheque into a bank they can clear it quicker for a small fee. If the bank the cheque is from is the same one you are paying into (halifax cheque into haliax account) they can clear the cash straight away. Even if the cheque is maked "cash" or comes with a letter to pay cash this means nothing as anyone can write that and there is no guarentee you cheque will clear and this will then end up in you being charged. |

When I was a temp I used to get paid by cheque. Just take it to the bank and cash it as normal. Works same if you been paid for expences, you just get a cheque and off to the bank. Easy. |

Take it to your bank. I think your employer may be in breach of contract (if you are under a contract) to change your method of payment without your consent. |

It depends. If the cheque is made payable to "Cash" then you can take it to where the cheques corresponding account is held and get money over the counter. If its made in your name you could go to the Likes of the The Cheque Centre. You would be cahrged a fee but its only about 5 or 10% (varibale on the amount of the cheque) or lastly you could deposit it in your own bank account and have to wait 3 - 5 days for it to clear. |

you can either pay it into your account (best option)or into chq converters and changed into money. |

Is it Bearer cheque or A/C payee cheque.
Normally it is better to deposit in bank a/c as that's much better option for cash management thru cashless transaction... |

some places have an arrangement wit the bank about exchanging a cheque direct for cash, but you would have to ask the people at your work that deal with it. |

Get your boss to write a letter so you can cash it over the counter at the bank. I wouldn't waste time waiting for it to clear you may incur bank charges if it doesn't clear in time before your bills go out. |

If you do not want to incur charges you should put it into your bank account however you will need to wait 3-4 days for your cash. If you want the cash instantly you can go to one of the cheque places and pay the charge. If you can wait do it cos those places rip u off. |

u can put it in your bank but it will take a few days for it to come though, if you did take it to a cash cheques place they will chage you about 10% |

if i was you, i'd take it into my bank branch and ask them if you can pay it in, if they say yes, there you go, if they say no, they'll tell you what you should do with it instead! |
