I have about 10 bucks in change in a jar?
would i have to go to the bank to get it all in cash?
there's always long lines at my bank so i'm not sure people would be all to happy about having to count 10 dollars in change...
Additional Details
to kevin c: hey dickwad! learn to read, i said i wanted it in cash, not to have it counted.

Many bank branches have change counters these days. But you only have about $10 in your opinion. That wouldn't take much time to count anyways.
Take it to the bank branch where you deal and they will change it for you no problem. I can only see them making an issue of it if they didn't have a counter, and you had lots and lots and lots of loose coin.

Emanon
Your bank will have a change counter. It only takes a couple of minutes.

not if u bank with allegacy they have a free change counter

Cathy
You can start carrying some change in your purse/wallet and start spending them - slowly, the change in your jar will be gone via regular expenses.

Elaine K
$10 isn't really worth the hassle IMO. you can get free wrappers at the bank, but i suggest saving the change! people who don't have a lot of funds to save with can get a good savings account going by just saving their change.

if not, SOME banks, but not all, have change counters.

10 whole dollars. Gosh that would take like a whole 2 minutes to count. How will you ever manage?

American Mom
Commerce Bank has a Penny Arcade. Free to use, even if you don't have a Commerce Account. And it's fun. You can win prizes if you guess the right amount.

Cesar D
Yeah banks have a change counter which is very quick or if there are any kroger stores around they have them too.

The casual poster
Just find one of those change counting machines at a local grocery store. They take about 4-6 cents on the dollar but it's quick and easy!

you put them in paper rolls and that way it's alot easier for the teller and it wont take too long.
