Are you an american? Scores only go to 850 here.
Also, they are required by law to send you a letter stating the reason why. It can be that they felt your overall credit card balances were too high or for any number of reasons. |

Credit scores do not go that high, check with a credit agency on what your real score is. The letter rejecting your application would also tell you why you were turned down, and what credit agency they based thier report from. |

A credit score check is just one of the processes a credit card issuer goes through when deciding whether to issue a card or not. If you have large amount of debt with other providers or you have any "maxed out" credit cards this can count against you. If anybody else's credit histories appear on your credit files they could count against you. Plus, in the run up to Christmas, some companies are a LOT more picky about who they give credit to. |

some people are just wankers! some credit card companys require you to have a ridiculously high annual income before you will qualify for a card, or for you to be a home owner or been in your job so many years etc, probably just something stupid like that |

Isnt the highest credit score 850? Maybe your in a different country, anyways.
But if you have good credit and are refused some reasons are, already having too many credit cards (even if tehy are in good dstanding) and having no credit accounts. Some banks dont want to be the one to give your the first credit card.
Your refusal letter from the credit card company should tell you why. |
