If there's any indication of who the owner is, then try to find them and give it back. Maybe its some old grandma's rent money?
If its just a wad of cash, then keep it and enjoy it. |

If it's in a wallet then you should turn it into the police.
However, if it's just a wad of cash you should keep it. I mean, how are they going to know who lost it?--everyones probably going to try to claim it and they wont know who to give it to so you might as well keep it yourself |

Keep it. Finding money just walking outside is too general of an area to see if someone lost it.
If you found a large amount in a small space, like a restaurant or something, then I wouldn't keep it.
But since you found it out walking, keep it and enjoy it.

wow! what a blessing. Theres no surefire way to verify whos cash it is. I wouldnt trust the police not to keep it. I would keep it unless I could know for sure whos cash it is. |

Someone would have to be really careless to lose a load of money like that, it has to be said, and I have to admit that I would probably keep it (I'm completely broke at the moment and any help would be welcome). I would still feel a bit guilty about it though...as others have said, you don't know who's lost it... |

Do the right thing. Try to return it to its owner. Give it to the cops. Imagine how you would feel if someone stole ur hard earned money. |

will eventually get it or if the person who lost it is happy to
have it back they may give you a reward. |

i would go with handing it to the police, likeliness is you will get it back if its not claimed(lets face it when u lose money u assume its gone, u dont phone the police asking for it) so u probably will get it back but u were honest and wont feel guilty!! |
