I screwed up my credit when I was a bit younger and I am trying to get my credit situated now and I need to pay on some over due bills. I only need about $1,500 or $2,000. I don't want to get a payday loan and I don't want a co-signer.

There are plenty of places that offer loans for people with bad credit with no-hassle applications and easy requirements.

Some of these lenders even offer 1 minute approvals, and have both secured and unsecured loans, depending on your need and situation. Check the page listed below, it has information and bad credit lenders listed off and on.

You have really bad credit and you are asking for a loan? Really bad credit comes from NOT paying off loans, why would someone or anyone in their right mind lend you money?

Buddy, I am not judging you...but overdue bills? It says to me you still have not gotten a handle on money....you REALLY need to do that first. Work 2-3 jobs if you have to. I have, for many many years off and on if I didn't bring in enough to cover everything.

About your only option is a payday loan, you see the places everywhere. They don't check credit, but you do need paystubs, and a bank account. They loan a certain amount based on your pay. They are not going to let you borrow $1,500 if you make $200 a week. Now, you can extend those loans out, but they cost terribly. The APR is usually about 700%. But if you borrow $500, you will end up paying about $100 or better a week, and you can "renew" the loan. They usually allow the first couple of payments to be more or less "interest only". Then you must start paying down the loan itself.
I MUST warn you, these have a tencendy to get people in more hot water than they were in. It becomes difficult to make such high payments weekly. And it is only for a small amount.
You didn't say how much of a loan you needed.
If you are talking about a bigger loan, say for a used car, or buying a friend's boat, you are probably not going to have much luck.
About your only choice is a co-signer, but that person is going to be liable for this loan when you don't pay it. So not paying is going to ruin a relationship you have with someone.
That person must have sterling credit by the way.
The thing to do is, when you get on your feet, start paying off your old debt, then get a secured credit card ( after building some savings), and use it for things you ALREADY buy, gas, a couple of your trips to the grocery etc. Then set that money back so that you can pay it each month, in full.
With the money in savings, use part of that to get a loan. They will freeze that part of your savings, you won't be able to touch it. But take the money from the loan, and open a savings elsewhere. You can even use that money to help pay back the loan. Doesn't have to be a big loan, even a $500 signature loan, with savings as collateral will do. But it will establish credit. Use the money then again, to do the same thing at a different bank, using the savings as collateral.
Then you will build some good credit in an easy way, for when you need it later ( and you will again at some point).
Hope this helped, would have been better if we had some clue as to how much you needed to borrow.

It's going to be very hard to get more credit.

2000$ looks huge when you owe it... but if you borrow some money to pay it back... it's going to cost a lot more, because of interests.

Do anything to avoid more debts, try to get an arrangement with credit card companies and think about changing your lifestyle (if you can) for a few months.

Good luck !

It's really hard to get a loan when you have poor credit. I know because I'm in the same shoes you are. Unless you just get lucky and find some place that is able to get you approved, you will more than likely have to clean your credit up some first. That's what I was advised. I dispute everything on my credit, because some will be removed when you do that. Then take on whatever is most recent on your credit and try to pay them off. That will help improve your score.

From experience DO NOT give someone money before you get your loan. If someone asks you for money before you get the loan it is a SCAM. Beware because there are a lot of people out there that say they can help and you probably will never see the loan you are applying for. Especially if they want you to wire it by Money Gram or Western Union. I know me and my husband have been scammed twice, once him and once myself. If you find a legit lender shoot let me know!!!

Never give money to someone just to apply for a loan. 99% of these are scams.
Try your bank or better yet credit union. If you have one see if you can borrow (BORROW NOT WITHDRAWL) from your 401K. The intrest you pay on a 401K loan goes back to you.
