dont feed the trolls.

if you won 3 million, why are you on here ???

Goonhilda
You too? I just got an email from a nice man in Nigeria... Just kidding.

If you won that kind of money, straight up you need to put it in a cash management account, while you decide what to do with it. That will give you a better return than you would get in a normal bank account, and it will give you time to plan what you will do with it. You don't want to go crazy and spend it all at once.

I would consider investing most of it in property and the share market, and then perhaps treating myself and my family with a small amount. Don't spend any more than 10% of it on treats. You want that money to work for you so you don't have to work.

I would speak to a financial planner about your situation. There is often one on staff at your bank. They can help you plan an investment portfolio that will let you keep the money and live off the earnings forever. This will make the absolute most of the winnings.

Best wishes

Spend it? Are you nuts?

Invest it. Pay off all your debts, buy what you need (nothing too fancy, dream home, nice car) and invest the rest in moderate and low risk investments, definitely put some in real estate. Many people win money and go broke . . but you can easily retire on 3.2 million. Or even better, start your own business and become successful (far more rewarding that a life of doing nothing)

You can use it to go back to school, get a PhD - and start some new research. That's what I'd do.

Definitely take a break though - travel the world learning foreign languages as you go.

hehehe . . . Anyways, way to go dude!

if someone sent you an email saying you had won 3.2 mil. i wouldn't count on it

Brenda
I won't spend it. I'd give at least half of it away and then get appropriate financial advise about how to best capitalize the balance in passive income.
