Convert it to Euros QUICK, before US dollars are worthless! Seriously, PAY BILLS, DEBT, not all of it though, save some for yourself to enjoy. If you don't have bills/debt save it. |

I would use $1,000 for my own self to buy stuff I wouldn't normally be able to get from my paycheck.
I would then find a brokerage firm and invest $4,000 in the stock market. They only make money when you make money so they will try really hard to put it to good work and you might just double it in a couple of years. |

If I were you I would put at least part of it in a savings bond ...one with high interest that you can touch for 6 months or so.
Not sure about the stock market the way things are going now??
