Well, first off, don't ask questions, unless you really need to!
I know people on here who just answer questions so they can ask questions and they don't really care about the points.
Obviously, the next thing is to answer questions - and when you do so, put some real thought behind your answers so you have a better chance at getting picked. The more detail, usually the better, especially if you say it first!
If you are the first to answer and no one votes, or the person who asks doesn't choose a best answer, normally your answer will be picked best, thus earning you 10 points!
And, if you don't have time to answer questions, you get a point a day for just getting onto Yahoo answers.
Last, but not least, if you vote for a best answer while it's in the stage between answering and choosing a best answer, I do believe you can get 3 points by doing so.

Meet your daily limits everyday and write good, coherent answers. That will get you the maximum amount of points per day and give you a good chance of getting SOME best answers.
Don't forget to choose best answers for YOUR questions too! |

answer questions, then when you have reached your limit for the day, vote on undecided questions. give good answers and you will be in with a chance of 10pts. avoid 'silly' answers just for the points, they can be tempting but its spam. good luck!! |

if you want points don't go in opinion based categories unless you basically totally agree with the asker, or you will never get it right. Be the first or only to answer fact based questions. You can also vote for yourself in old, in voting questions that no one has voted yet |
