What did you ask for when you loaned him the money? If you basically said "Pay me back when you get a chance", then he owes you $100. If you have strings attached they should be seen upfront. |

I've known some people who's Relatives seemed to drop off the face of the Earth- for less than that !!! Whatever you wanted, you should have agreed to when you made the loan. An ordinary amount of interest would be about 5% , meaning about $5. But sometimes its better to not charge interest, especially in a family, because in the future you may need to borrow from him, so consider the loan to be just a favor between brothers and of course he will be repaying you at some point--which you also should have set already. |
