Long story short, my mom passed away awhile ago and since she's divorced and I'm an only child I inherited everything...including the mortgage. Her ex husband took me to court over the executor of the estate so by the time that was over with I was behind on the bills. Currently I'm facing foreclosure, I have till Wednesday to pay the lawyers of my mortgage company $10,000ish. My bank will only let me borrow a couple thousand and that's not going to cover it. Does anyone know of any other places I could get a loan for that amount. My credit is descent, I own a car that's valued around $9000 and in a month or so I'll have everything transfered into my name so I'd be able to pay it back. HELP!

Someone asked why don't I sell the house...That's what I'm planning on doing this fall I just need to get it ready to sell. Right now I'm working on not foreclosing so I don't end up owing money :( |

I'm not trying to be mean here, but you need to sell the immediately house and walk away. This deal is not working out for you and if you continue to try and salvage what's left, you're going to spend more money and bury yourself deeper into debt.
Walk away now with your good credit intact. You've wasted all of your inheritance on one legal battle, now you're trying to raise more to save a house? C'mon, this isn't your game. You don't know what you're doing and you're losing badly. Move on. |
