Depending on your credit score and borrowing history is should be easy. If you don't have any credit it's not going to happen unless you have a co-signer. Another option you have is to go to www.prosper.com and try to get a loan there. I would try www.e-loan.com if you have decent credit. |

Your best bet would be to go to whatever bank you already have an acocunt with.
P.S. 10k sounds pretty pricey for an engine swap. A Hemi block shouldn't even cost near that much. This car gonna be street legal when you done with it? :P |

That is NOT a good reason to get yourself trapped in debt.
SAVE half the money to show you are a good saver then any bank will loan you this small amount.
You should be saving one third of your income ... ALL the Chinese people do! |

Race cars are an expensive hobby. Looking for a 5 year loan for your engine switch just proves you can't afford this hobby.
If you found anyone to give you such a loan, the interest rate would be outrageous. Besides, with a 5 year loan, you'd be paying for that engine long after the whole car blew up. |

You should only borrow money for what you need not what you want. When you are paying back all of that interest later, you may not think it was worth it. |
