There are other ways to get to work besides a car.
You can take a bus, train, ride a bike, or if it's close enough, walk.
Once you've worked a while and saved some money, you can start thinking about buying a car.
THEN the fun begins.
Car insurance.
Gas for the car.
Registration.
License.
Fun times!

I take the bus to get to work. Maybe you can do that. Also, when I worked a long distance, I would often carpool.
Otherwise, maybe you can ride a bike to work if you don't live or work near public transportation. Cars cost way more than a thousand dollars. That's just how much they cost up front. After that, you need to maintain them, and pay for insurance and gas. So, first get a job that you can commute back and forth from without needing a car. |

i first got a bike a found a job within riding distance untill i made enough for my first car. which by the way you can find wheels for under 500 if you look in the right places. once i had the car the rest was easy. or public transportation. |

Talk to some of your friends and neighbors. See if there is someone who can give you a ride to work for a while if you were to get a job at the same place they work. Then, once you start making money, get yourself a car and start driving yourself. Or, if that doesn't work out, try looking for a job nearby that you can walk or ride your bike to until you make enough money to get yourself a car. Or there is always public transportation. Depending on where you live, you should be able to catch a bus and it's pretty cheap to ride the bus. So you could do that just until you make some money and get a car. Or you could just take a loan out for a car. If you don't have a job, there's no way you will get approved for a loan, so you would need someone to cosign for you. Maybe your parents? You have several options here. If you want it enough to apply yourself, you can make this work. Good luck! |

Why not go to school in a big city that has public transportation or live on campus? Or why not get a bike and help out the environment a little bit?
It doesn't hurt to still get a job though and save for when you're done with school. |

I make money online using a GPT site called cashcrate. You get paid to complete free offers and fill out surveys. You wont get rich off of this site but an earn $50-$200/month on average. Others have given you the right answer. First you work where you can. Later when you have saved the money you can work further away if it pays better or you like it better. Right now you don't have many choices.
This is why I told my children and grandchildren from the age of 5 that they had better save some of their money if they wanted a car at 16. A savings account is a very handy thing. |
