If you are still employed, and only 4 months behind you shoudl be o.k.
Can you still make a monthly payment? (forgetign the 4 past dues). If you can do that I think the bank will work with you. Call the mortgage holder first thing tomorrow morning, and explain your situation. They will work with you. Better yet go see them personally if they're local.

Right now the last thing the bank or mortgage company wants is your house. The real estate market sucks for selling right now, so they would much prefer to work something out with you.
Do you have a roth ira at all? If so, you could take out any money that you deposited more than 5 years ago without paying taxes or a penalty on it.
How about changing your withholding on your check? If you get a tax refund at the end of the year, you could change your withholding so you can get a larger paycheck now, instead of a refund next year. |

You need to talk it out with someone at the bank where you have the morgage.
Your still are employed and thats great..you just got behind. They would rather work something out than take the house.
Maybe you can can consolidate all payments so you are only making one payment a month.
Tell them your looking for another part-time job to bring in the extra money you need to catch up.
It shows you are doing something.
