Today, my mom recieved her phone bill, it wasn't good. I had made some unnecessary calls causing the bill to go up to 575.95$! They were not angry, but very disappointed because they don't have the money. I feel very very bad and I want a chance to correct my mistake. We'll you are a good kid for accepting the mistake you've made.Some kids don't even own up to their mistakes and expect their parents to pay for everything. I could suggest to talk to you parents and do chors for them if you can't find a part time job. They might let you off the hook or jobs at the supermarket like checkout at rgister or stock filler, trolly collector. Maybe sell off some of the things you don't really need any more. First thing promise to your parents and to yourself that you will never use their phone again - and MEAN IT.
If they cannot afford this bill and you are the one who made the calls then obviously you didn't think twice about causing them this grief beforehand. Too many times do I hear about kids doing this to their parents - does every parent need to install a lock to keep the kids away from their idle chatter?
How to make some money quick? Sorry - but it never works that way. The minute we want to make some money we can't.
Unless you decide to seriously make amends - have a sale of your belongings - garage sale. Don't forget - to seriously make amends you need to sell your favourite items as well as the ones you longer use....... |

Start doing yard work for neighbors, or maybe ask your mom if you can work it off. Do chores for her, clean the toilet, ect. |

I think it is honorable after making the mistake of running the bill up that you want to pay for it. It is hard to raise money at fourteen, but I suggest cutting lawns, running errands for people and other handy type jobs.
Even if you do not have access to a mower, many people will hire you to cut their lawns with their mowers. If you hace access to one though, you will get more jobs. |

maybe you should volunteer to work around the house, mow the lawn, do the dishes, fold the laundry, etc. until your parents are satisfied you have made restitution.
its wonderful and mature that you have taken responsibilty for your error, i'm sure your parents would be happy to come to a payment agreement with you. just let them know that you want to be accountable but just arent sure how. they'll help you, they sound like understanding parents. good luck to you. |

I am sorry. I have no idea. Maybe you can check what jobs you can do for your age. Maybe things like mowing the grass, helping old neighbors to take the garbage out, etc. Anyways, good luck! You're a good guy to reconise you faults. |
