If I was your mom, no way! Save up your money and buy what you can afford or take public transportation. I've heard of too many horror stories, where mom, dad, grandma or grandpa co-sign or get a loan for a child, only to have that child default on the payments or stop giving them the money for the payment and ruining their credit. |

You are 16, you can not get a loan. Sounds like your mom, is trying to make it herself, it might be a little selfish of you to ask her to go out on a limb for you with this car, and that is what you woul;d be asking her to do.
Sounds like you are attempting to buy a car that you can not afford. How about saving some money, and buying the best car that you can afford for cash.
That would show some responsibility, maturity, and wisdom. |

You have to be 18 to enter into a contract. You shouldn't be borrowing when you have no way to pay it back - my first car was a castoff from a relative - cost $60 - that's the way it should be - don't get what you can't afford.
BTW, if you get a loan on a car, you have to insure it, including collisison and comprehensive, which will cost over $1,000 a year, plus gas, maintenance - what will you do for money? |

Even though she's your mother, mixing money and family is just a bad idea most of the time. ESPECIALLY if someone has bad credit.
Get a job, start saving your money and you'll eventually get a car! |
