I suppose you could go to a number of those cash advance places, but I don't know if you're looking to pay back money. There's always focus groups or Labor Ready. If you're in college they sometimes give emergency loans in the financial aid office. And lastly, you can see if they'll give you an advance at your job. |

Get another job. Perhaps have a garage sale and try selling things on Ebay.
Otherwise, you may have to apply for a loan. Stay away from those Cash-Checking places- they are predatory lenders. If deals sound too good to be true, they are. Stay away from them. |

Try selling stuff that you own, you can get some cash that way.
A better shot might be www.prosper.com. It's a person-2-person lending site that does 3 year loans. It works like a reverse eBay, you put how much you want to borrow, you write your little story of why you need it, the site runs a credit check on you, and the lenders (normal people that are using it as a different type of investment vehicle) place little bids on your loan, and they say what rate they'll accept, starting at what rate you say. So, if you get a lot of interest in your listing, people will drive down the interest rate you started at, so you pay less for the loan! It's great, it's new, it works. |

Go to manpower" or "Kelly Services" ..any kind of "Temp-Work".
They can get you a job in a day or so. Some assignments are a few days, some are just a few hours...I helped a medical company re-organize a warehouse..and another time I unloaded shingles off a flatbed truck..it was interesting and I made some money.
Go to a pawnshop and hock your old trumpet...like Jack Klugman did in that episode of Twilight zone.. |
