waitress waitress waitress! you'll always leave with tips, so you can either save up that cash or you'll always have cash on hand. plus if you work at a good enough restaurant you can get a wage that's respectable enough for a 14 year old and it actually adds up quickly. flexible hours also.

Well if you want you can make cards and start selling those, then go on 2 something much better like, totoring kids at ur house and then they could pay weekly(from YOUR school!), or do some random acts of kindness then go babysitting and or set up ur own shop. For example a Dog salon, i.e dog walking,grooming ect..) HOPE I HELPED!! |

Sometime local candy shops such as Malleys will sell you candy bars that you can sell to your friends at a profit. My advice would be to get an under-the table contracting job such as caddying or babysitting (I do both). Either one should get you some decnet tax free income. If you're a decent caddy you can earn $15-20/hour and baby sitting should get you $8-15/hour. Either way good luck. I love NY so much! |

If your parents don't want to give you the money, then they probably don't want you going to New York. You really don't need to go to New York at 14 years of age. It is a very wild city and if you do not have the proper chaperone's you could get in some bad situations. If I were you, I would wait and maybe go on your Senior Trip or something, with a group. |

Whoever told you that you can't get a job when you're 14 ... lied to you. You will need a parent's signature on a work permit application. You may only be able to find employment bussing tables, or delivering newspapers, or working at a grocery store bagging groceries.
If you want to earn money outside of a real job, the old standards (that have worked for every single other early teen over the last several decades) include: babysitting, yard work, house cleaning, etc. Just put the word out in your neighborhood that you're interesting in hiring out to do chores. Never establish a rate of pay if you expect repeat opportunities to earn money. Let people pay you what they think you earned, and they'll want to hire you. |

Try getting pocket money from your parents for doing chores!
money doesnt come easily.
Or if your have a party, make an entry fee.
make things, braceletes jewerly anything and sell them on ebday or at the market or something.
Or get everything you dont use or wear no more such as toys, clothes and sell them.

Well, if you're attractive and popular you could sell yourself at school. Not in a sexual way, but as in the movie Love Don't Cost A Thing. Find a dork, who isn't popular and tell him you'll tell people you're dating for 20 bucks a day or whatever. As long as he wants people to think that you're dating he'll fork over the cash. You could also do this with unpopular girls, allow them to sit with you at lunch or hang out with you for a certain amount of money each day. A girl at my school actually did this for a short time during Jr High. |
