If you owe more than what you can comfortably afford to pay out than you have a few alternatives. One (which I do not recommend) is bankruptcy. Two a part-time job. Three credit helpers (which I also do not recommend). Four call your creditors and explain your situation ask them if they have a hardship program and what do you need to do to get enrolled in it. Than look at your smallest balance and sacrifice to pay it off as quickly as possible. This will mean the money you used to spend on that bill can go to someone else. if you keep doing this you will be surprised how quick you can get out of debt. Think about what is your ultimate goal her and than go from there. Make sure that whatever got you into this trouble in the first place is something you have conquered. The last thing you want to do is struggle to get out of debt and find yourself right back in it because you haven't learned anything. |

Obviously you are making too little money and you are spending too much money.
Doing both things at the same time can be dangerous.
I suggest you to get a second job.
I suggest you to reduce your bills.
Are you using light bulbs of less than 20 Watts in every room?
Are you smoking too much?
Are you drinking too much?
Are you betting too much?
Are you (CENSORED) too many prostitutes?
Are you donating too much?
Are you driving a Hybrid or Diesel car? |

Time for a restructure of your life. Its obvious you are not happy the way things are going. You can get out of debt through credit conselling. You can have a garage sale and get rid of things you no longer need, if you can get a second job, or sell some plasma. |

You need to set down and figure out what is coming in and what you have going out...this is a must...You may have more money left than you are aware of. If you still have nothing left after doing this try downsizing...in other words cut back...on your spending.
There is help out there to help you get those bills paid including the credit cards. Depending on your income some companies will work with you for no fee or a small fee. Check your local area for debt help.
Beware of On-line and over the phone help that ask for money and personal information. |

I'm a personal success coach. I usually offer free advise to people starting small businesses. I would suggest that you consider this as a way out of your financial situation. I know it seems crazy to think of starting a business when you can't even pay the bills. I often recommend small work-from-home, part time businesses that are free or very cheap to start. Having a business in your home can create a lot of write offs that will help lower your income tax bill. Also, you can learn to channel the frustration of your current financial situation into the motivation that it usually takes to succeed in a business. I will be glad to offer some more specific advice if you want. Write to Bruce at boatclub@go.com . Provide more details of your situation. How many hours are you working now? |

I found myself in a similar situation not long ago. What I did was find a credit card with a high limit and low apr. It's difficult, but theyre out there. Consolidate. Pay your creditors with the card and then you only have one payment a month. Granted, I don't know how much you owe, so I cant be sure a single payment is even possible. But I was in debt (by like 10 grand) and managed to work it out.
Good Luck!
ps. Stay away from cash advances, small or large. If someone is giving you money for no reason, especially a lot of money, be suspicious. And don't even get me started on that cash call place.
pps. Oh yeah, and don't declare bankruptcy. They recently changed the rules. Before, you didn't have to pay the money back. It was a grant, and the opnly catch was you had it on your record for seven years and couldn't really get much credit. Now, hpwever, you do have to pay the money back, making it a big expensive loan. The major probalem here is that you still have it on your record, you still cant get new credit, and now you have a huge, overwhelming debt that you couldn't pay in the first place to pay back! If you have an option, work on improving your credit through creditors, not through bankruptcy. |

What you need to do is set up and stick to a budget. Start by saving just $1.00 every time you get paid.... Break that $1.00 up as follows, 50% into a neccessities envelope, 10% into an investment envelope, 10% into a long term savings envelope, 10% into and entertainment envelope, and 10% into a charity envelope, and 10% into an education envelope. Debt payments will eventually come out of your neccessities envelope.... REMEMBER! WHAT YOU FOCUS ON EXPANDS!

Try to consolidate your debts. Make a global loan (mortgage loan or personal loan) to pay for all your debts and that way you make only one payment a month for all your debts, because now they are consolidated. That should save you a lot of money and therefore will free some money which you can put into a savings account.
You got to start the habit of saving for the future. The rule is: pay yourself first = from everything you earn you most save the 20% of all your income. Earned $100 got to save $20. Earned $1,000 got to save $200, earned $10,000 got to save $2,000. Invest at least have of this money in Ira's.
If your are with water up to your neck, go to the BBB (better business bureau) and ask how can you file for chapter 7.. That way you get a break until you can put your finances in order, at least for 7 years from now. Good Luck. |
