unless it's direct deposit, you'll have to wait until bank hours before any transactions are posted and accounts updated. you could also try and set things up where there is no hold on the funds when you deposit. Our acct is set up so that even if we deposit via bank machine we have instant access to the money....no holds! |

I'm guessing you are in the UK because of the time - it's 7 25am now. I'm sure your cheque will clear by 9am but since you are obviously checking on line you can keep checking. I'd ring the bank at 9am and ask what's happened to it. |

depending on the bank i bank with Lloyds tsb and its automatic clearance on cheques when i deposit them.
the transactions at lloyds take place at Midnight so if the cheque had cleared it would be showing at midnight.
you could check but it all depends on the bank |

I know that if I deposit a cheque monday of this week it will not be clear to draw on until friday. It needs 3 full working days to process. My guess is that it will be clear after midnight tonight. |

ok i maybe be able to help here and for smart arses that claim i am wrong i got this from a relative who works for a reputable bank when you bank a cheque it is logged on your account what happens then is all cheques that are recieved to a branch get sent off to a processing office for that paticular bank when they send cheques its done through the postal service which can be delayed due t being this time of year so basically contact your bank and ask them they should be able to tell you why your cheque hasnt cleared they wil be able to chase it up aswell also my son had the same problem just took his cheque 11 days to clear when he was told 3 days hope this helps |

Anything check deposited into the bank after 2pm of a buisness day will not be in your account until the following business day. So somwhere between 8 and 9, your money will be their. In the future what you can ask your bank to do is cash the check and then deposit it. Cash will go in instantly, but a check will not. My bank does this for me all the time. I can't ever make it there by 2pm! good luck shopping |

There could be quite a few reasons why you do not see it in your account. Check back later. Dont know where you are in the world, so Id say check in the morning, but it could be morning where you are!
Reasons its not showing, bank is doing maintance right now on their systems. Power outage in theri area, slowing processing, the bank doesnt always show online in real time. Call and use your automated system and see what it says. IF there is any chance the check isnt good, dont spend the money until a rep from the bank says its ok to. |
