I have the perfect answer for you, Go to CNNMoney.com
and print out the story titled "Taking home the jackpot" by Ellen Florian Kratz dated February 28, 2007. It is what a 34 year old lottery winner did with $85 million he won. It includes what he did for his family, it was so good I printed it out. It lays out exactly what you should do to keep everyone happy. And how to invest it wisely to increase it more then double over time. |

I think you should donate some to a charity that you support. Then give me $100,000. That is all I need. Then I will donate half of that to a charity. Then I will keep $50,000 and buy some property to turn into a wildlife refuge. |

Get an independent financial adviser.
An estate & tax laywer.
A CPA.
And a family counselor that you like and trust.
Ask them.
Follow their advice. Along with the 2-3 people in your life that you trusted most before your inheritance.
Don't listen to strangers. They have their own best interest at heart -- not yours. |

Donate some as you wish, but you should get the majority and get a good investment or put it away for a whyle, while you have more time to think what you can do with it. |

Watch out for the gold diggers and all of your suddenly new found (and long lost) "friends" looking for hand outs. Make a plan that you are happy with before doing anything, and if you hire a financial adviser, be careful and make sure you get a great one. Good luck and enjoy it! Find what you are passionate about and use it to do some good (which it sound like you will do) and remember you can't take it with you, but what you do with it can and most likely will have a huge effect on the future! |

First set up your investments to provide you with a steady income stream for yourself.
Hire an attorney you trust, a financial ad visor you trust and plan out what you really value most. You can really make a big difference in the world with that much money. You will need a good accountant as well. You have problems that are different than most people will understand many people just like the ones here will be looking for a piece of you. You have to stay true to what you value. Religious, political, environmental, family etc what do YOU value? You can make a great difference in the world around you.
You have a great deal of pressure I am sure and I hope everything works out well for you. I have friends and family that have been in similar situations and it is tough. With that much money you are like your own little company and people WILL take shots at you and WILL try to take advantage of you it is not a matter of if it is a matter of when and how well you were protected.
Do what you feel in YOUR heart is right and above all else protect yourself and remain as frugal as possible. Because as you spend more and flaunt more you will attract more attention and not all of that attention is going to have positive results. |

Hire a tax attorney and a financial advisor immediately. Refer all questions and/or requests to them. Realize that your family will continue to pressure you and just keep repeating this mantra to yourself and to them "Speak to my attorney, he/she is handling everything". Take some time to figure out what YOU want to do and what YOU want to happen. When you decide that, talk with your attorney and financial advisor and they will help you implement your plan. |
