I saw that a super rich guy just paid $23,000 to have his flat tire changed. Is this to much waste?
Is he out of touch with Americans real needs?

His money, he EARNED or inherited it so it is his to do with as he likes. You have no way of knowing what his charitable contributions to "americans" is.

My guess is you weren't the one who received the $23,000 for changing the flat, right? LOL

If he had the money and it was a matter of his convenience, then he should pay whatever he feels it's worth to him. No doubt the person who received the $23,000 to change the tire is extremely happy at the moment, so the rich guy is helping out the "little guy" in this way.

You don't know what or to whom the rich dude also contributes money to, so there is no reason to judge. Time is money to some people, so the $23,000 could very well be worth it to this guy.

I have very little spending money and no one tells me how to spend what little I do earn. I don't feel that anyone has a right to tell the super rich how to spend their money either. It is up to an individual's own needs, wants and conscience.

if he wants too-that's his prerogative. it's his money to do as he pleases.

His choice, but yes very wasteful!!

Dr David
Yes. I could buy a new car for that, and help many hundreds of needy people for that. I know where my money would go, and it would not be on a flat tire.

Anyone who pays $23,000 to have a flat tire changed is an idiot. It doesn't make a difference if he is out of touch with Americans real needs or not. He doesn't need to ask anyones permission to spend his money. He can spend his money any way that he wants. I do think he is out of touch with reality if this story is for real. But then he could just have just wanted to give someone a helping hand without them feeling as though he was just tossing them money. Some people still have some self esteem about taking something for nothing. If he has another tire that needs to be changed I am available.

this is easy;

you are in a wooden boat and you are 2 miles to sea. ITs bottom
boards begin to warp. YOU can swim.
The boat will take a while to sink.

another boat comes by and you offer it $ to take you aboard.
how MUCH are you willing to have him carry you?

you got a friend to give you a boat ride originally that was
worth maybe $5.00.

would you give 100, 1000, 10,000 to get back shore from
2 miles out?

YOU decide.

when in need, "normal prices for services go up."

gas cost 95 cents before 9/11. are you paying more than that?
