please don't don't do it....he's from a different country. you don't want any trouble. and what kind of idiot sends 3x the amount to someone trusting you'd return the rest. Definitly sounds fishy. |

yes, dont do it.
Dont do anything additional for them. He should be the one to set up the shipping, not you. You are just there to receive the money and get the furniture where the shipping is to be taken place. |

If I started out trying to sell furniture locally and received a response from a foreigner, I would be suspicious. If it's not a really big set and you're willing to negotiate some, try getting permission to put flyers up around a college campus-if you're near one. College students are always looking for stuff like that.
At any rate, I wouldn't jump at the offer the foreigner is making you. Wait for someone else locally or consider putting it in the classified ads of your newspaper. |

YES THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The check they send you is worthless and the so called "shipper" is either the same person or a confederate...they're in it together and they want to steal your money. When all is said and done, you'll be out$2025 and still have your bedroom set. You'll be sorry....Don't fall for it. |

Absolutely do not fall for it! eBay and PayPal tell you never ever do the Western Union thing. By the time you are done, you will find his funds are not good and you have forwarded your own extra money. |

what he will do is have you western union the difference from the 3k and what you dont realise is that the bank willl take the travelers check or money order cash it fund it but not honor it which is the most important one of all because the check is a fraud so you find out three days later when you have the furniture still and have now westerned unioned off a 1500 payment that you were scammed |

If your have your funds and the product --- a sale has not been legally transacted. He is "hiring " you to do the shipping --- without paying you.
I think you should ask him to make his own arrangements for pick up ---- and he should send you the funds only for the purchase price. Set a time limit for the transfer of merchandise --- Do not spend the money until the merchandise is out of your possession. |
