Firstly it's great to see young people with a good work ethic - well done!
You could try baby sitting. Start with friends of the family, so you know the children you're looking after, and more importantly they know you. I would have a back up system that includes your mum's phone number if things got out of hand - very unlikely.
We hired 13 year old baby sitters who lived 5 minutes walk away for our kids when they were young.
Other than that you are looking at other menial jobs, like cutting grass, (summer's coming), weeding etc. Just make sure you are paid a reasonable rate for doing it and more importantly, you work for people you can trust.
You may find that a few possibilities open up for you when you're 14. My daughter got work in a local resteraunt at that age a year ago and still works there one evening a week. |

Why not ask to babysit? That could bring in a lot of "Pounds" as you say it in your country, I say dollar. |

Avon?
That's how I got my first job when I was 13. They usually put it under your mum's name so it's not illegal or anything. |

The world is settup for the young to play and the old to work. I know that u need money to "play" at your age, so try working for the elderly, theyre loaded with retirement cash and could always use a hand with groceries. |

try babysitting. and don't let someone tell you you're too young to walk dogs, 13 is not too young. i know lots of people would love to have someone take care of their pets while they're gone on vacation or something. just ask around.
if you're still not getting any business, put out flyers...post flyers in a veterinarian's office or something. |

You could sell some things you don't need any more on ebay? Or buy some good quality stuff from charity shops and sell for a profit?
Are there any neighbours that have children? If so, you could make a leaflet on your computer advertising babysitting for about £5/hour and post it through their door.
Actually, you could include that your willing to do odd jobs on the leaflet too, like car washing, laundry collection, ironing etc.
Or you could try at a boarding kennels or at a stables, because they sometimes pay cash (bit naughty though).
Good luck anyway, and well done for not being a lay-about. |

Try babysitting, for some reason parents love tennage girls to babysit their kids. Ask the primary school you went to to advertise and try to get those parents intersted. |

26 pounds a month!!! About 50 dollars canadian i think.
Thats a lot of money for a 13 year old. You must be rich
I'm 14 and I dont have an allowance but I still get lunch money.
But ive got lots a money the bank.
Whatever you do...do NOT become a newspaper delivery person (paper round) . Believe me I tried it and its very hard and doesnt even pay enough. Its quite an unfair job. I got paid 90 dollars a month for about 70 houses. 45ish pounds.
Sorry but Im not sure what you should do. |

You cant really work anywhere until you are 14, then you may get into fast food, or getting carts at a grocery store. But until then, ask for an allowance? Do chores? |

Evaluate your skill
Now make your skill .....or apply your skill to earn a few bucks
Make a budget...Make a calculation
Put a break on waste expenditures
Select according to your connivance
1. Giving tuition to UKG- LKG-Ist Standard
2..Book Binding.
3.Job Typing part time
4.Writing notes for your class mate, and senior class mate
5.Make your hobby......stamp collection or coins a way of business

Well you can try the advertising program by google named adsense.
It is really good and i also earn a nice amount to spend on my needs along with my pocket money.
And you can also work whenever you want to...
Just make a website and start earning. No investment if you start with a blog.
People have really made fortunes in this thing who took this even a bit seriously...and to top it all you have nothing to lose so i also thought this thing and gave it a try...
Official website: www.google.com/adsense
You can also get considerable amount of info. thru this link

you should try babysitting. if you get one family to hire you- and they like you then you'll probably earn a lot of money. Ask them if they have any friends with little kids who are looking for a good babysitter. I've started babysitting and have earned a lot of money. I started at 12 (now 14)> Also try to ask another family about dog walking. Whichever family you asked was clearly a bit old-fashioned if they said you were too young. But babysitting is a VERY good source of money=)
best of luck to you, hope you do very well:D |

what about helping out in your local salon? im sure you can start early there and go on to shampooing etc.
Sorry but your too young to babysit dont take that the wrong way. Some people will be ok with it freinds of the family etc.
but untill your 16 your still the parents responcibility so you might not get much work. in that but i supose its a bit extra. |

There are a lot of other ways to earn money. Try making and selling Jewelry and other creative things to your friends and family members like I did when I was 13, then of course there's also babysitting, Pet sitting, and doing household chores for the elderly. -Ask your parents to put out a good word for you, have them talk to their friends so the word gets out. --ALSO there ARE other places like King Soopers that can hire you for very minor jobs after you turn 15, -but until you turn 18 your work there will be very limited and you can only work a few hours a week because of the Child Labor Laws that they have to follow.(depending on your State) -Nevertheless it is STILL a good paying job. |

If you cant do more chores around the house or babysit. Try asking the nieghbours.. if you know any elderly people nearby you could cut there grass or do little jobs . I am a photographer and pay local teenagers to deliver leaflets in there local areas. Try asking local businesses around your area. I usually pay £30 per 1000 as thats what it would cost professionally just clear it with your parents first, and if poss get a friend to help out just for more safety. If you happen to be in Barnsley get in touch!! :) |

Get your name on the waiting list for paper rounds etc, tough but until you are 16, you are doing all you can. My daughter is in the same position, she will be 16 in September, and is already searching out a good saturday job. |
