If you have NEVER had an overdraft, call the manager of the branch where you account is based (the one you went to to open it; if you opened online or over the phone, any branch can help you). CALMLY explain that the is your first overdraft and ask nicely that they waive the fee.
The reason I stress that you keep your cool is that is you are nasty, you will likely not get anywhere. |

nope, consider yourself lucky, comerica charges 36.00 dollars each time. |

I disagree with everyone. It was your fault that you were overdrawn. Act like it! Take responsibility for your own actions. However... I also believe that you can act democratic: aka: Kill them with kindness. Be nice and just ask that they waive that fee. Remember, the person you talk to at the bank is not responsible for your actions. If $19 makes a big deal to you, then they really don't need your business. So being kind while asking is your only avenue for eliminating the fee. |

Call and ask them to waive it. Sometimes they will if you are nice and this is the first time. You'll have better luck going to a branch in person and asking. |

U were overdrawn so u have to pay the money.. Next time make sure u have the money.. |

If you have good credit standing with them and this was the first time tell them this and ask if they could please waive the fee just this once since you are a good customer and it is the first time.
If it is not the first time then you don't really have a leg to stand on and will have to pay the fee..... |

same thing happened to my partner with halifax. They charged him 28 quid for going overdrawn by a couple of quid....if its your first time they'll waive it. If you dont ask, you dont get! |

Take responsibility for your mistake or overdraw. You were overdrawn, doesn't matter 1 day or 10 days. You were overdrawn. I agree - consider yourself lucky!!! My bank charges $31.00. |

bank charges are now illegal tell them your not paying it and will change banks etc they will soon refund it |

Champ...Forget it...they're not going to waive the fee...If you over draw your account you pay a fee...It's in the application, which you signed, when you opened up the account. |
