You just have to make sure to pay yourself first. Determine the amount made through overtime and put it straight into a savings account. Your employer may have a savings program available, but that would probably only work if the extra amount was consistent. |

If the company has a direct deposit program- make use of it.
Have the money direct deposited and then have 2 accounts at the bank- one for checking only and one for savings. Have them put a set amount into the checking account then transfer the remainder into the savings acct. |

good 4 you ask your employer to pay your overtime separate and open a bank account just for the overtime and have it direct deposit that work cause you don't see the money in your hands and you don't spend it see if your employer works with you on that well good luck. |

Deposit the money and completely forget about it or you can put it in a IRA roth fund where you can't take it out. If you take it out before the maturity date, you are fined and it will even compound interest for the period of time that you can't take it out. It never hurts to put away much as possible when you want to retire cause social security won't be there when we are older. |

Use a savings account, and most likely if you're working overtime, you won't have much time to spend the money you're making. Try not to eat out too much either. |

Have as much taken out as you can in Taxes.Talk to your employer, This way you can't touch it. You will have to wait for your refund check. |
