have you really got a masters in economic & business? i imagine if you were to go to the bank and ask to borrow £2m they'll laugh at you. £2,000,000 is a massive sum to invest in a startup. start small and then expand, and go to them asking for £100,000 or so and then take it from there. virtually every company starts from humble beginnings. |

Depends on your business plan, if your home is fully paid then any bank will probably loan you the monies, they`d be a mug not to, they cant lose either way.but you can if youre venture does not work out.
sorry i miss read your 300,000 as 3mill,,,no you aint got a chance |

Hmm... maybe you should check your grammar and spelling first before you start your own business! As for the answer, all i can say is that you would have to do your own research to find out if you could lend that amount of money. |

Dont take offense but you really you must know that this forum cant answer a question like this and just a bit of common sense should tell you to go to a bank. It all depends on your credit rating. But of course you know that already from buying a house etc etc or at least you SHOULD know that. For what you written you seem like an intelligent and academic man but really this question lacks a bit of foresight..... good luck though :) |

hmm lets see you ear 36,000 but you want to use the £2M to start your own business, at which point you will be earning NOTHING until it take off. So lets see would someone lend £2M when the person borrowing is going to have NO INCOME.
do I really need to put the answer, or can yopu work it out yourself.
and lets see, WHAT BUSINESS costs £2M to set up. I started my own business with £15,000 and quit my £28,000pa job to do it. GET REAL PLEASE |

Not any more, cash is very expensive and given the current financial climate, very few company will loan out that kind of money. |

Not a snowball's chance in hell. You don't got the money honey! Stick with your job now...running your own business can be a nightmare! Try to find a venture capitalist or something if you have a good idea... |

Doubt it. Your present assets are not enough to settle the debt, and any stock, plant etc that you bought for the business would only realise a fraction of their value, plus your 36k salary would go once you started trading.
Go to your Chamber of Commerce, they can advise you. |

If I had the cash to spare, I definitely wouldn't want to risk it on such a risky venture. |

Given the current credit crunch I can't see any bank lending you 100% of the money you need 4 ur business venture. If ur house is unemcumbered then if u took a 2nd mortgage and put this money in they may be prepared to lend you the rest but you do need to take into account that if ur running a business your salary of 36000 a year will disappear and personally I can't see how you would make two million pounds profit in the first year of trading. If u put together a robust business plan they may consider it but i doubt it. |
