Okay, I got permission from my parents to get an iPhone, but they said that I have to save up for two years of service plus the iPhone before I get it, so overall thats about $1500. I have an allowance but my parents have a firm NO for putting any of it into savings. I'm too young to get a job, and the only family I know with a kid I can babysit is my aunt, and if I got paid from her, which I probably wouldn't, it wouldn't be a lot. We also don't know a lot of families that I could housesit or clean yards, AND we have a housekeeper so I can't clean the house or do any house chores. I'm doing an eBay business, but I don't have a lot to sell. I have about $200 saved up so far, and I REALLY want one before February. I REALLY need some advice! |

Your parents strike me as nuts. Who wouldn't want to teach their child to save? If you can't do a savings account -- hide it under the mattress.
The babysitting idea is great and can be high value, but you need to advertise! Try putting up flyers at local daycare centers. You will find many desperate parents that would love someone to watch junior while they go for dinner and a movie.
The best advice is really to skip the phone. It is an expensive toy. Great fun and very functional, but just a toy.

I would first create a website and come up with this great idea that you could sell. It wouldn't be against the law because you're self-employed and you created the business. Now to create a website go on wetpaint they have the greatest stuff a website could have. It got me started at least. |

and have some of the people
bring their cars to you
and u can wash it for about 5-7 dollars an hour

Ok sorry to put down your plans but the iphone is just hype i know alot about different phones and the iphone is not the best product and it doesnt have the best service in the world..... at&t ewww. Verizon is releasing their newest phone The Lg Voyager AKA Iphone killer. I have seen this phone all over the internet its crazy the front of the phone is a full touch screen pad theres a send, clear, and end button at the very bottom a 2.0 mega pixel camera and best of all it opens up to reveal a full qwerty keyboard. The iphone is not gonna be better than this phone and its with verizon the best service out there. Look it up you might just change your mind |
