You are only obligated to pay him what you borrowed; the $10.
But, if it were my friend, I would split it down the middle with him. Give him $50 and I keep $50. He would not argue over a $40 profit. In fact, if you don't share, then I would think that he is a better friend than you. At least, he trusted you with his $10. |

Yes! You repay what you borrow. You could be NICE and share some of your winnings, but you're not ethically obligated to. |

You are obligated to pay him $10 but you might want to consider giving him a tip! |

I'd say just the 10, but if you wanted to be nice then half the winnings, since they did loan it to you in the first place |

yeah your obligated to repay what you borrowed.
Anything eles you give him is just a gift from you. |

A friend would not need to ask such an asinine question. |

give him $10, and buy him a drink. |

I think all you would be obligated to pay him would be the $10. If it was me I would definetly give him at least a hundred or two for lending me the money in the first place. Its free money anyway, right? |

giv him 20, lol his money should be doubled cause he helped u |

aaaaw cmon and break him off some lol. I would if it were me. Deciding on how much is your deal. Either way in all reality all you owe is 10 but be cool damnit! Wouldn't you hope someone would for you if that happened on money you loaned?
You know what I do would is tell him, then laugh and say, "hey thanks man. Here's your $10 back." Then offer to buy him dinner (somewhere GOOD lol) or something. I would be down with that if I were him. |

you only owe them the 10 dollars but I'd probably give 100 just because you wouldnt have won without there 10 dollars |

Give him the $10 and pay for a dinner, just for being kind enough to lend you the money.
He won't expect you to give him half or anything, if he's a normal person.

How much of a friend is he if you're wondering whether to just pay him the $10?
I would be out of line to tell you how much of a cheapskate you are.
I'd take him out for a steak dinner, and when the check comes, I'd pay it, and give him $100 as well and tell him I hit the jackpot. |

Just pay him the 10...that's all that is owed. He could have taken the same 10 and did what you did.....but he didn't. |

it all depends on if you tell t hem what you want. however, just think about what you wouldnt have if it wasnt for a good friend loaning you that money. to be honest, i am the CHEAPEST person i have ever met, and i would at least hook them up. seriously, be a pal! |

Your 'obligation' depends on the terms of the loan and as such is probably just the $10 (unless you had a specific arrangement)
However if he really is your friend and if you want him to continue to be your friend it would be a good idea to share at least a portion of your winnings with him. At least buy him a drink or better yet a whole meal at a nice restaurant. |

Ya, you would just pay him $10. You won the money, and you borrowed the money before you knew you would win. All you borrowed in the first place was $10, not $1000. You could have done whatever you wanted with the $10, but you would have still had to pay him back. Think of it this way, if you borrowed $10 from him, and lost $5 at the casino, would you pay him back $10 (what you borrowed) or $5 (which you are left with)? |

Don't tell him you won and give him $10 if he already knows, I think you should give him a "tip". |

You are "obligated" to pay $10. You would be an appreciative friend if you gave him $100 |

did you tell him you won? if you did, you should give him a percentage, because if it wasn't for him being so generous, you would not have won. If I were in your shoes, I would give my friend $100 |

If you were a really good friend you would give him at least 11 dollars! But it is your choice if but you would have to give him his ten! |
