The most accurate answer is, it depends on what type of agency and the actual acct rep! But coming across the water, if the deb is on credit report..then yes, will affect, but if a non reporting company, you just got a get out of jail free and pass go for $200! |

AMERICA has her own problems. I would appreciate more if you want to become an American because you LOVE us not because you want to get away from your problems.
GOD BLESS AMERICA |

I don't know the laws in England, but I can't believe they are that much differant then the US.
Here, they don't go to court until you are served, therefore you can not have a judgement against you.
LOL! Interpol! God Frank you truely are a jerk! Give back those points!
Worst that will happen is it hurts your credit rating in England.
Will they come looking for you? They can. But they are not about to do it for a small debt! |

No, if you left any contry and you own money to the back or anyone else, there is nothing on theyr part to do more than admit the lost, because it will take years to file a claim on internationals corts. and small calims in international corts are not to likly to win, BUT, if your amout is realy big, then international corts can be a solution for your creditor and bad for you. |

I left England & moved to America. Bad news, bud, the same companies that own the banks in the UK own the banks in the US. They will find you, and in the US it is much easier for them to garnishee your wages. And you will have wages, 'cos there's no free lunch in the US. If you work hard here, though, you can make a heap of money and pay off your debts.
Isn't that a better idea? |

Are you in a bit of debt. There is a saying it goes something like this "you can run but you can't hide"
seriously I don't know your best bet though is work on paying off your debt. |

as far as i was aware, before you can emigrate, you have to be solvent and have a few thousands in the bank before you can move abroad. it is illegal. don't be a jerk cos it's us that have charges increased to pay for idiots like you that are happy to borrow the money but too selfish to pay it back. |

Of course, and Americans will help them find you, especially if you get a job in America.
Maybe you should move to a remove African village! |

Yes. England and America have treaties that allow that. |

yes they will find you.. especially if it is a large amount. you will also get a CCJ (county court judgement) rewcorded against your name, which will show up at passport control back into the UK and if you ever apply for jobs.. pay the debt, or at least contact the company you owe money to and explain you cannot pay it all at once. they will be lenient, but better you do it than stuff the rest of your life up. |
