No you do not need to report the apartment unless she is receive money in the UK for it. However, I assume there are tenants living there. There is no way UK could go after that apartment. You might be better declaring the business bankrupt instead of a personal bankruptcy. This way she would not have to report anything personal except what pertains to that particular business in the UK. I would advise her to talk to a lawyer.

Bankruptcy in the US is much different than the UK, and you did not mention where she is doing her bankruptcy.

I cannot see why,as normally all assets are brought into a bankruptcy.Why should an overseas asset which can be used to pay creditors be excluded merely because of its physical location?If I were a creditor I would expect it to be used.

If she is a limited company then only assets of the company are included.
If she is not then all assets are considered and can be realised to repay the debts. This will included properties here and abroad, cars etc.
