If you are 12 years old, what jobs are available?
Like, a cashier? Does anybody know a place?

I dont think any large establishment is allowed to put a 12yo
on the till ,its too much responsibility and there is always a real dangerous risk of being held up for the money by theives, which at 12 you are not old enough to cope with and are not covered by the company insurance either, usually cashiers are staff who started off loading up the shelves and then worked their way up to being a cashier through trust and reliability,if thats what you want to do then apply for a saturday job in the storeroom packing things into order and tidying up and see where you go from there~good luck!

ps: I also would like to say I think at 12years old
it is very comendable indeed
that you are showing such
great self- initiative and self-motivation in finding
yourself a part time job~Well done you!

If you really want to work, you could mow lawns, offer neighbors to run errands and take out the trash. Be a mother's helper (I hired an 11 yr old and she was very good) She cleaned and did my laundry and packed my bags and everything! Talk to neighbors, go to young families in the neighborhood and ask if they need a baby sitter - etc. Put up a sign in the church or at the supermarket. Make sure your parents know what you are doing and have them help you and go with you to meet the people. Also, if you live in a town with small shops like dog groomers and such, you could go to them and ask if they need someone to sweep floors or an assistant. Godd luck.

You are to young to become a cashier. Maybe you can deliver newspapers. Ask you parents to look into in for you. Are you in a nice area? Maybe you can help some older people who might need things from the store.

if you want to be a cashier most places hire 15 and up. good luck on that one!

In most states the age limit is 14 years old to get a job.

I hate to break it to you, but no one will want to hire a 12 year old to deal with money at a register. I know of no places that even hire 12 year olds..my brother is 15 and had a hard time getting hired because he was too young..

Washing cars, vending lemonade (please don't do that one), stocks and shares. Your best chance of earning money is working for a realtive, good luck mate, hope you get rich quick some how.
